The Men’s Getaway offers men living with multiple sclerosis a chance to meet other men living with MS and share ways to cope with its effects. See a listing of jobs below. Volunteer job descriptions

Personal care attendant

Assist with personal care and daily activities, while helping participants enjoy a weekend retreat. Volunteer must have the ability to assist in lifting and transferring participants as well as maintain a daily routine from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nurse

Oversee the care and medical treatment of participants and administer medications and treatments. Volunteer must provide proof of current RN or LPN licensure.

Program assistant

Assist with set up and implementation of getaway activities.

Truck/van driver

Assist in loading and unloading equipment trucks. Drive trucks to and from the getaway. Ability to lift 50 pounds, drive an accessible van or 26-foot straight truck. A valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance are required.
