Go with what you know
You will be most successful if you share what you are most passionate about and comfortable with. Each of you have an area of expertise, whether it’s Bike MS, volunteering, Pillars of Society, advocacy, public speaking or more. But don’t think your expertise has to stop there! Each month you’ll receive an e-mail with news and information that can help you increase your knowledge and comfort in other areas, too. Before long you’ll be comfortable with all aspects of the MS Society!

Use your existing networks
Think about the people you know in your community. How can they help you raise awareness about MS and the MS Society? Is there a local restaurant owner who could hang an MS Awareness Week poster? Would your workplace, school, rotary club or church like to have a presentation about ways to join the movement? Chances are you already know several places you could network. Tapping into these resources can make your job easy!

Let the MS Society be a resource for you
Don’t hesitate to contact the MS Society for any help you need. We have brochures, videos, speakers, awareness-raising ideas and more. Not to mention staff who have a wide range of expertise. We want to help you succeed in your role as a Movement Ambassador, so please give us a call.
-
Team up and share ideas
You’re not the only Movement Ambassador out there. Other people just like you are also full of ideas. And just like you they may be experiencing roadblocks with their plans. Be sure to share your ideas and solutions by e-mailing them to Jenna. These tips will be included in the monthly e-mail. Also, if you’re looking for someone to team-up with for a particular activity, we can help to arrange that.

Be a good representative of the MS Society
When you are out raising awareness people will remember YOU as the person who engaged them in the movement. To them, you ARE the MS Society. Be sure to refer to these talking points. Familiarize yourself with these messages and facts so you can accurately represent the MS Society.
