Amber Tobiasz makes the Chapter's financial assistance program possible. Last year, 335 people received financial assistance through the Gateway Area Chapter. This need-based assistance helps people living with MS maintain their independence through home and vehicle modifications, chore assistance, and respite care. The program also provides emergency housing and utility payment assistance to people in need. Amber is so committed to the success of the program, and to helping people in our community who so desperately need financial assistance, that she dedicates two to three full days per week to the Chapter - assisting with data entry, tracking the expenses, and ensuring that the financial assistance process flows smoothly. In the words of Debbie Biggs, the Chapter's Financial Assistance Coordinator, "I just cannot imagine getting financial assistance done without Amber."
