Amy Klueter-Thomas

Amy was diagnosed with MS in May of 2006. In 2007, Amy started a team for the Edwardsville Walk MS event and named it “Team Moonlight” after the tavern her family owns in Troy, IL. Since its start that year, Team Moonlight has been one of the top teams at this walk, achieving elite team status every year, which means they raised more than $3,000. Amy also began participating in the MS Society’s UGLY Bar Tender Challenge in 2007, hosting events at her family’s tavern and helping raise awareness of MS. And every year, Moonlight places amongst the top 5 bars and wins a coveted traveling trophy. In addition to her fundraising efforts, Amy participates in Illinois Action Day at the capitol in Springfield, engaging our elected officials and encouraging them to support legislation to help people with MS in Illinois. This year, Amy has joined the Walk MS committee and is working to promote Walk MS and recruit new teams to follow in Moonlight’s footsteps.
Amy lives in Edwardsville with her husband Jason and their son Hubey.
