Chet lives in the MS wing at a long term care facility in West St. Louis County called 'The Heights' where he serves as the unofficial liaison between 'The Heights' residents and the Gateway Area Chapter. Last year he invited President Obama to join him at the Walk MS Clayton. While President Obama didn't accept his invitation due to a scheduling conflict, Chet did receive a nice, polite phone call from a White House staffer. Obama wished him, his team, and Walk MS all the best! In addition, he invited his federal senators, the mayor of Clayton, and Town & Country. He also contacted Mike Bush, news anchor at KSDK Channel 5, hoping to get a little additional coverage. As noted, Chet is a dedicated and loyal volunteer at the NMSS-Gateway Area Chapter and hopes to inspire others to want to get involved!
