When Chris was diagnosed with MS in 1997 she didn't know anything about MS or anyone else with the disease. Like many others, she was uncertain of her future and frightened. So she turned to the Gateway Area Chapter. There she found not only good information, but also great support. Not long after that, Chris & others, formed an MS Talk group in Jefferson City and she has worked with that group ever since. Although she volunteered with the Chapter in a variety of ways, the opportunity to talk with someone newly diagnosed, share their experiences, and give them comfort and support is the most important to her.
