How to become an MS Ambassador
Volunteer Orientations are the second Thursday of every month at the St. Louis office at noon and 6pm.This session will teach you more about MS and the National MS Society, provide you with informational materials and teach you how to effectively tell your story.
What do you need for the orientation?
The following are materials you will need for the orientation:
- MS Ambassador Manual
- Top 10 Talking Points
- My Story Worksheet
- Ambassador Orientation Feedback Form
- Volunteer Information Form
Ensure that you review these materials prior to your MS Ambassador Orientation, and bring the forms with you that need to be filled out.
Move to the next level and become a speaker!
Interested volunteers can take additional training courses to become a part of the Speakers Bureau. This training is 2-fold, providing volunteers with even more information on MS and the National MS Society, additional tools to utilize in a presentation, tips to build volunteers into confident speakers, and more refinement of your story.
Are you interested in taking part in additional training?
Volunteers must first participate in the MS Ambassador training. The Speakers Bureau training sessions are currently being scheduled, but if you are interested in attending, please contact us at speakersbureau@gatewaymssociety.org.
