How to become a Speakers Bureau Volunteer
Volunteers are first invited to attend a Volunteer Orientation session to become an MS Ambassador. These orientations are the second Thursday of every month at the St. Louis office at noon and 6pm. This session will teach you more about MS and the National MS Society, provide you with informational materials and teach you how to effectively tell your story. Speaker's Bureau is a second-level MS Ambassador who is trained in different areas of public speaking, speaking with proffessionals, media contacts and more. This opportunity is for the person who is dedicated to more professional speaking opportunities.

Ensure that you review these materials prior to your Orientation, and bring the forms with you that need to be filled out.
Move to the next level and become a speaker!
Interested volunteers can take additional training courses to become a part of the Speakers Bureau. This training is a one on one training individualized for each volunteer's interests and skills. It is a 2-fold training providing volunteers with even more information on MS and the National MS Society, additional tools to utilize in a presentation, tips to build volunteers into confident speakers, and more refinement of your story.
Are you interested in taking part in additional training?
We require each Speaker's Bureau member to have completed the MS Ambassador training and have some experience in that area. Once that is complete volunteer's interested in taking the next step to join the Speaker's Burear can set up a training time.
