What could be more fun than riding with your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers? That's what teams are all about. Share the experience by starting a team. Teams are a great way to build morale and demonstrate your community involvement. Any group of four or more people can form a team, and there are plenty of places to find members; friends, family, your company or your community.
Starting a team is easy. All you need to do is:
- Gather four or more cyclists (including the captain).
- Choose a captain and a team name.
- Remember each team member must register individually. They must raise and turn in at least the $200 minimum contribution.
Team Captains Are Never Alone! Once registered, captains receive a folder full of information on ways to organize and motivate their team. Throughout the summer, captains will receive emails with tips on how to fundraise as a team and recruit additional team members, as well as weekly team roster reports. Mission Possible Team Club Teams that show their dedication to the mission of the National MS Society by raising $5,000 or more will join the Mission Possible Team Club. In Central NC, 5,000 people are served by our chapter: 2,400 individuals with MS and their family members. By raising $1 for every person our chapter serves your team will receive recognition at the Awards Party and the wrap-up “Inside the Ride” newsletter.
