Golden Corral – Educate, Empower, Impact
2012 Campaign: July 15 - August 31
MS should not stand in the way of an education. The National MS Society’s scholarship program exists to help qualified students who have been diagnosed with MS or who have a parent with MS achieve their dreams of going to college.
To help remove the barriers for those students impacted by MS, in 2011 Golden Corral launched a new initiative in partnership with the Central North Carolina Chapter and Greater Carolinas Chapter of the National MS Society. All Golden Corral restaurants in the state of North Carolina in addition to some participating locations in South Carolina raised $51,000 during September 2011 and provided scholarships to 18 recipients. The campaign was aimed at expanding the scholarship offerings made by the chapters to first-time college students living with MS or the children whose parents live with MS.
We are excited to announce that this partnership will continue in 2012. From July 15 - August 31, the NC and SC restaurants will again be collecting donations for the scholarship program fund. Please visit your local Golden Corral!
Golden Corral is no stranger to the movement to help create a world free of MS. Their support began back in 2006 in the Charlotte area Walk MS event. From supporting the local Walk MS team to feeding the walkers and volunteers, the commitment has been evident and steadfast.
