Adult Day Services/ Respite Care Program

Funds may be requested by clients who would like to attend an adult day program outside of the home or for respite care on a short term basis. Funds may be requested by clients or caregivers, who need respite. Care may be provided in the client's home or in a long-term care facility. All services must be provided by bonded and licensed.

 Assistive Technology 

Assistive technology may be used to purchase aids for daily living, such as bathing aids, eating utensils and eye glasses. It may also be used for computer equipment/communication software, hearing devices and emergency response systems.
 

Critical Short-Term Needs

Types of Critical Short-term Needs Assistance provided include but are not limited to: overdue utility bills, rent, and the like, crisis counseling, air conditioners, and dietary supplements.

Durable Medical Equipment (Including Accessibility Modifications)

Medical Equipment Assistance may be used to purchase or assist in the purchase of durable medical equipment, adaptive equipment and devices and home/auto modifications for clients who are uninsured or under-insured.

Home Maintenance Services

Services related to home maintenance may be requested by clients or caregivers up to twice a year, including minor repairs and housecleaning by a licensed agency.

Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy Assessments

This fund provides payment of the initial assessment and treatment, including an exercise plan in the first appointment for those not covered by insurance and pays the deductible for those covered by medical insurance.

Transportation

Transportation assistance may be requested by clients to get to appointments for medical services and to National MS Society programs and support groups.  

Wellness Programs

Wellness funds may be requested by clients needing a scholarship for a wellness program such as yoga, aquatics, tai chi, etc. All wellness funds will be paid directly to the vendor or instructor.
