The Mid Atlantic Chapter advocates for people with MS, but more importantly, educates people with MS to advocate for themselves! One of the most important things we can do as activists is to communicate consistent messages to legislators. The SC Government Relations Committee (SC GRC) is responsible for researching issues and deciding what to focus on each legislative session.
This year, the SC GRC is partnering with organizations that also advocate for issues that are important to people with MS. These organizations include AARP, Alzheimer's Association, SC Dept of Health and Human Services, SC Appleseed Legal Justice Center, SC Small Business Chamber of Commerce, Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities, SC Hospital Association, SC Association of Personal Care Providers and Silver Haired Legislature.
