Friday, September 21st Shuttle Service
From Sunset Beach, NC to Kershaw, NC
Shuttle leaves promptly at 5pm.
Note: The deadline for purchasing a Friday shuttle pass is September 1st. At least 40 people must have purchased a pass for the service to be offered. In the event there are not enough tickets purchased we will notify you on September 2nd and refund your money.
This Friday shuttle is intended for cyclists living in the Sunset Beach area or other cyclists who choose to have their personal vehicle at the Sunday finish line. The shuttle fee for Friday is $35. Where To Park Your Car |
The Friday shuttle will take cyclists from Sunset Beach, NC (Sunday's finish line) to Kershaw, SC (one of Saturday's start lines). The bus will drop cyclists off at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC as well as the official Bike MS hotels in Camden, SC. Bike MS participants are invited to camp for free at Carolina Motorsports Park Friday night. On Saturday morning the bus will pick up anyone who stayed at an official Bike MS hotel in Camden, SC and will drop them off at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC to begin the ride.
Your $35 shuttle fee includes your bus ticket as well as the option to bring your bike to the Kershaw, SC start site on a bus transport truck. If you transport your bike on the truck you will not have access to your bike until the start site opens on Saturday morning.
In order to take this shuttle bus, please arrive at the long term Bike MS parking lot at 1660 Seaside Rd SW, Sunset Beach, NC by 4:45pm on Friday, September 21st. The bus will leave promptly at 5:00 pm. Lock your car and retain your keys. If you are bringing your bike with you, you will need to load it on to the bike transport truck. You will then board the shuttle bus for the trip to Kershaw / Camden.
All vehicles are parked at your own risk. We will have occasional police patrols when possible. All hotel arrangements are the responsibility of the cyclist. Saturday AM shuttles will only service Bike MS host hotels in Camden, SC. See website for list of host hotels in the area. Bicycle storage on Friday night is only available for cyclists that loaded bikes at Sunset Beach and are starting in Kershaw, SC. All vehicles must be removed from the long term lot in Sunset Beach by 10pm Sunday, September 23rd. Vehicles left in the long term lot past this time will be towed at the owners expense.
