The National MS Society needs your help to support more than 400,000 Americans living with multiple sclerosis, a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system for which there is no cure. The Greater Carolinas Chapter serves 13,500 people living with MS in 128 couties in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Through the generosity of donors like you, the Greater Carolinas Chapter ensures that funds raised by events like Walk MS go directly to benefit people with MS. Our 2011 external audit showed:
- 51.5% of total revenue remained in the Carolinas, providing programs and services to help people with MS, including education events, financial and employment counseling, couples and family retreats, financial assistance and more.
- 30.3% of revenue was dedicated to national research initiatives that continue to improve the treatments available for MS and will one day reveal a cure.
