We recognize that families living with MS are at risk for social, emotional and physical isolation, with potential limitations of participation in personally meaningful activities. Emotional isolation may occur from changes in personal capacities or individual choices to withdraw from others (due to grieving for losses, depression, etc.) and changes in life roles and relationships that disconnect individuals from others. Our family programs seek to connect families with needed and desired contacts that enhance quality of life.
