Aging Services

  • NC Division of Aging and Adult Services
    The Division of Aging and Adult Services supports older and disabled adults and their families through a community-based system of services including: home delivered meals, adult day care, transportation, home health, family caregiver support, etc. Administration: (919) 733-3983

Child Care

  • NC Division of Child Development
    The Regulatory Services Section monitors and licenses all child care programs in North Carolina. You can also review information about Centers and Homes in your area by using the Division search site. (800) 859-0829

Long Term Care

  • NC Department of Health Service Regulation
    Regulates medical facilities including: hospitals, long term care facilities, adult care homes, home health and hospice, mental health and group care facilities, emergency medical services, and local jails. Administrative Office: (919) 855-3750
  • Ombudsman Program
    Long Term Care Ombudsmen serve as advocates for residents in nursing homes and adult care homes throughout NC. Ombudsmen receive and investigate complaints made by or on behalf of long term care residents.
  • NC Divison of Aging
    Their mission is to promote independence and enhance the dignity of North Carolina's older adults, persons with disabilities, and their families through a community-based system of opportunities, services, benefits, and protections; to ready younger generations to enjoy their later years; and to help society and government plan and prepare for the changing demographics.
