Human Services

  • Office of Citizen Services
    The office helps guide citizens through the human service delivery system and provides consumers information on and/or referrals to human service providers in all 100 North Carolina counties through the NCDHHS Care Line Information and Referral Service. The office also assists with problem resolution for concerns or complaints regarding services that NCDHHS oversees or administers through the department’s Ombudsman Program. Mental Health

  • Division of Mental Health
    The Division of Mental Health is a state agency that regulates all mental health services throughout NC. It also provides a listing of community mental health centers. To reach the Administrative Office call 919-733-7011.

Social Services

  • NC Department of Social Services
    The Department is responsible for work first for families, child protection services, emergency assistance, energy assistance, and a variety of other programs. Contact your local DSS office to apply for Medicaid.
