Letters to the Editor

The North Carolina Congressional Delegation has led efforts in Washington to require the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide health care to veterans and their families who have suffered adverse health effects after exposure to a toxin. US Senate Bill 277 and House Bill 1742 make those exposed eligible for hospital care, medical services, and nursing home care for any condition or disability associated with exposure to such contaminants. For summary information and bill status visit www.congress.gov.

Use this sample Letter to the Editor to thank members of the North Carolina delegation for their support and encourage other Member of Congress to support their efforts.

On June 29, the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee passed S.277 for consideration by the full Senate. See news report here.
