Additional Opportunities

In addition to our Volunteer Leadership Teams and groups for young professionals, we have volunteer opportunities to match with your professional skills and natural talents.

For Corporate Groups

Corporate groups can take part in service days, volunteer at events, or form Walk or Bike Teams.

For Allied Health and Medical Professionals

Allied health and medical professionals can assist on our Nurses Speakers' Bureau, Chapter Programs Committees, or with specialized programs.

Administrative Support

 Volunteer your time working in the Raleigh, NC office with any of the following:  

  • Prepare mailings
  • Make phone calls
  • Update databases
  • Manage special projects
  • Assist with programming databases
  • Design and update websites
  • Develop and manage blogs

Communication Support

If you have professional experience in public relations, marketing, or communication we can use you in the following capacities:

  • Serve on the PR/Marketing Committee
  • Manage e-mail blasts
  • Edit flyers and other printed pieces
  • Write and edit articles
  • Post to blogs

Programs and Services Support

Help provide programs and services for the over 13,500 individuals living with MS by:

  • Coordinating programs in your local area
  • Serving on Advisory and Planning Committees
  • Chapter Programs - guide program planning for the entire chapter area
  • Care Partner - generate and implement ideas to serve care partners of people living with MS
  • Kid's Camp - Assist in organizing, planning and managing activities for annual Kid's Camp
  • Home Based and Community Care Committee - Provide guidance and assistance to the chapter in identifying resources and information pertaining to long-term care issues for people living with MS
  • Representing the Society at Health Fairs
  • Providing outreach to health professionals
  • Participating in Service Day Projects - assisting people with MS by performing routine household projects OR take on a leadership role by coordinating a Service Day project in your area
  • Participate in planning and coordinating local Join the Movement Days (MS Awareness Week) activities
  • Allied Health and Medical Professionals are needed to assist on our Speaker's Bureau, specialized programs for members and more.
