New Jersey – The New Jersey Metro Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society is looking for dedicated cyclists and volunteers to join the movement for the 10th annual Bike MS “Hops to Hops” ride, Sunday, September 16th. The Inn at Lambertville Station will join in supporting those with MS by hosting the start and finish line for the event. Cyclists can choose from pedal a challenging 40 mile or a metric century (62 mile) ride through scenic hills of New Jersey farmlands and finish back at the Inn situated in historic Lambertville, alongside the Delaware River. The thrill of finishing can only be matched by the difference you’ll making in the lives of people of 13,000 people in New Jersey and 400,000 people nationwide living with MS. At the finish line cyclists will enjoy a celebratory lunch and tastings of the River Horse Brewing Company’s Ales.
You can be a part of helping those with MS move forward by coming out on September 16th . Cyclist registration will begin at 7:30 am and the ride will start promptly at 8:30am. At the end of the ride, the cyclists’ will return to a private picnic area behind the Inn at Lambertville Station along the banks of the Delaware where everyone will be invited to enjoy a lunch and beer tasting of the River Horse Brewing Company’s Ales.
To raise the funds necessary for the continuation of research and empowerment programs for people with MS, cyclists collect pledges for completing the ride. Money raised from the “Hops to Hops” Bike MS Ride will stay in the local area to provide programs and services for people affected by MS. A portion of the monies also go to fund critical research programs to find a cure for MS.
The Bike MS “Hops to Hops” is the second leg of the NJ Metro Chapter’s three-part Bike MS Ride Series. About Multiple Sclerosis
Every hour someone is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS); a chronic disease of the central nervous system for which there is no cure. Multiple sclerosis interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body and can stop people from moving. For some, this means living with unpredictable symptoms that can come and go, like numbness and blurred vision. For others, there is more permanent damage, like paralysis. For everyone impacted by MS, it means not knowing what the day will bring and always being prepared for the unexpected, making it difficult to move forward in life.
Join the movement.
