Medicare
Medicare is a public health insurance program for people 65 and older or who have been receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) for two years.
Private Health Insurance
If you do not receive health insurance from your employer, a spouse or parent’s employer, through a union, or other trade organization and do not qualify for public programs like Medicare, Family Health Plus, and Medicaid, you can purchase health insurance via one of these options.
New York Public Health Insurance Options
Medicaid and Family Health Plus are New York’s two public health insurance plans whose enrollment depends upon applicants’ income.
