2011 Honoree:
Don is retiring as Northeast Ohio Managing Partner of Ernst & Young. With 34 years of accounting experience, his clients include some of the region’s largest companies.
Celebrate Don’s service and the next chapter in his life at the Dinner of Champions. The Misheffs plan to winter in Arizona, but will remain active residents of Northeast Ohio through service on nonprofit and corporate boards.
Don has served numerous organizations that promote the region including Greater Cleveland Partnership, Greater Akron Chamber, Akron Tomorrow, Team NEO, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Playhouse Square Foundation, BioEnterprise, Mayor’s Special Group Plan Commission and Cleveland Plus. He is active with Ashland University, The University of Akron Foundation and Chairs the Tri-C Foundation.
Don is an alumnus of Leadership Cleveland and has been recognized as a distinguished alumnus of The University of Akron’s Business School and Accounting Program and was named one of Inside Business’s “100 Most Influential People” in Northeast Ohio.
An avid golfer, Don is Chair of Firestone Country Club and serves on the Championship Council of the Bridgestone Invitational. Don and his wife Cindy have two daughters and live in Silver Lake.
Proceeds from Dinners of Champions have totaled more than $5.6 million and are used to provide programs and services to the 11,000 people with MS and their families in the Ohio Buckeye Chapter. Proceeds also support research efforts to find the cause of and cure for multiple sclerosis.
