Sate and Local Issues

HB 59 to Unbundle Complex Wheelchairs for Nursing Facility Residents

Position: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society urges the unbundling of complex wheelchairs from ancillary service cost in nursing facilities, as included in HB 59. Unbundling of this service will improve access to equipment that is necessary for mobility and independence, as well as prevent secondary medical complications.

Support Medicaid Expansion To 138% and In Turn Support Ohio’s Economic Future

Position: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society urges full expansion of Medicaid pursuant to the Affordable Care Act so that all qualified Ohioans have access to affordable, comprehensive health care.
