Scholarship Program

scholarship capScholarship Program

The National MS Society, Oregon Chapter provides funding to support eligible and qualified students as they begin their college careers. Scholarship candidates are selected based on a combination of their academic performance, leadership, citizenship, financial need as well as a heavily weighted essay (written by the student applicant) on the impact of MS in their life.

A student must have MS or have a parent with MS and be a senior in high school or a high school graduate with plans to attend an accredited post-secondary school for the first time. Applicants must be planning to take at least six credit hours per semester leading to a degree, license or certificate. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $3,000 for one year.

How to Apply

Applications are only taken online at The National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s website. For more information or to apply please visit nationalMSsociety.org/Scholarship

Oregon Chapter Scholarship Awards

The National MS Society, Oregon Chapter, has awarded 32 scholarships totaling $68,200 since the program’s inception in 2006. Each year the chapter strives to expand the number of scholarship recipients, however, more applications are received from students affected by MS seeking scholarships than the number of awards we’re able to provide.
