Assistance

The National MS Society Central Pennsylvania Chapter exists to help address the challenges of each person whose life is affected by MS. If you are living with MS and find that you are struggling financially and can't afford some of the items or services you need to live more comfortably and independently, we have a limited financial assistance program. If you are in need of assistance, please take a look at the following ways we are here to help.

  • Durable medical equipment
  • Medical supplies
  • Independent living aids
  • Chore services
  • Home and car modifications
  • Air conditioners
  • Transportation
  • Respite care
  • Exercise programs
  • Family Enrichment program – educational programs to assist dependent children in the home

This program is based on financial need and there is a yearly limit per individual/family. Assistance must be for MS related items not covered by insurance for durable medical equipment and medical supplies. The person applying for the assistance must been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, resides in the counties served by the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and registered with the Chapter. The person applying for assistance must complete all necessary paperwork and provide requested documentation. The Central Pennsylvania Chapter’s Program Committee of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will determine eligibility for assistance.
