At the core of the National MS Society’s vision is our commitment to creating a world free of MS for our 14,000 members in the Greater Delaware Valley. That means offering a full slate of programs aimed at educating people about how to overcome the disease’s physical, social and financial effects, as well as customized direct services to address each individual’s specific needs.
But we don’t stop there. The Society and this chapter fund numerous research projects into the cause and cure of this disease, including the current investment of $2.6 million in seven local research projects. We also facilitate interaction between members, physicians and researchers at the world’s largest conference for people affected by MS. And we’re dedicated to training health-care professionals to ensure that each of their patients receives the best, most up-to-date care.
