Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled (PAAD)
How does PAAD work?
- PAAD provides extensive help to people who are enrolled in a Part D prescription drug plan and have applied for a Part D low-income subsidy
- There is no cost to join; participants pay a $5 copay for each drug they refill
- PAAD also pays premiums, deductibles, coinsurance and other out-of-pocket costs associated with a Medicare Part D drug plan
Do you qualify?
- New Jersey residents age 65 and older, or age 18 and older and receiving Social Security disability benefits
- Annual income limit is $21,850 for individuals and $26,791 for couples
