Public Health Education Internship - Graduate Level
Seeking a bright, motivated and hard-working master’s-level student who is passionate about making an impact on a marginalized population. The Public Health Intern will be charged with designing and implementing a program for our constituents. He or she will be responsible for all aspects of program delivery, from the assessment stage to the evaluation stage, and all the planning in-between. By the completion of the internship, the student will have gained experience in delivering a tailored educational program.

Disability & Health of Special Populations (African American Studies) Internship
The individual selected for this opportunity will be assisting in creating a committee that will work to develop the chapter’s programmatic offerings tailored to African American persons living with multiple sclerosis. By the conclusion of the intern’s service term, he or she will have planned, executed and evaluated a networking event for this particular population.

Communications Department Internship
This intern will assist the communications department in publicizing the Greater Delaware Chapter’s events and increasing public awareness of challenges people with MS face.

Information Systems Internship
This chapter is looking for someone to help install, configure and maintain information systems, and provide hardware and software support to paid and volunteer staff as appropriate. This individual will work under the direction of the Information Systems Director.

Public Policy Internship - Graduate Level
The Greater Delaware Valley Chapter is looking for a graduate level student interested in the fields of public policy, government relations and disability rights to assist in carrying out the chapter’s public policy efforts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Public Policy Internship
This student intern will have the opportunity to work on strategies designed to enhance the profile and effectiveness of the National MS Society among Pennsylvania’s legislators. The student will also assist in organizing grassroots education, volunteer recruitment and electronic advocacy.

Special Event and Fund Development Internship
This intern will gain experience in special events marketing and fund development. Some duties include: Marketing and promotion of special events (Walk MS, Bike MS rides, Challenge Walk MS, Mud Run Brandywine); donor acquisition, retention and cultivation; customer relations; and more.

Volunteer Engagement Internship
This intern will learn skills related to management of a volunteer program in a volunteer-led health organization. Special emphasis will be placed on the recruitment, training and coordination of volunteers and the facilitating of mutually beneficial partnerships among volunteers and the Society.
