Position Overview
The event processors will help us maintain an updated and accurate accounts file.
Key Responsibilities
- Properly coding accounts that have undeliverable addresses or that have changed addresses
- Perform data cleanup and merges on duplicate accounts
Initial Impact:
The contribution of a volunteer in this position will help to ensure that all undeliverable mail that is received is properly processed in a timely manner in order to provide the highest level of customer support to our fundraisers and donors. The contribution will also ensure that duplicate mailings are not sent out.
Sustained Outcome:
Provision of data entry support for account cleanup will save the organization money by ensuring that mail is not sent to undeliverable addresses or duplicate accounts.
Training:
Initial volunteer orientation is provided along with staff and chapter introductions. An overview of basic office equipment and systems will be provided. Ongoing feedback and training is available from staff point person.
Commitment:
Two to three days a week from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Proficient typing ability
- Computer literate
- Business software knowledge
- Organizational skills
- Multi-tasking
- Excellent proofreading
- Willingness to perform a wide variety of administrative functions
- Good communications skills
