The grants volunteer will identify and write grants for existing services provided by the chapter, as well as grants for new services and public policy efforts.
- Identify key foundations
- Write grants
- Identify relationships between foundation staff and MS community
- Track all foundations in chapter’s computer database system
Training on multiple sclerosis and a chapter overview will be provided.
The volunteer will be supported by the chapter staff in the services department. Supervisory check-in meetings will take place twice a month.
Those interested may apply to write one grant or several. This position can be done from home, but requires a computer and internet connection. Regular calls are required with chapter staff.
- Previous grant writing experience a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
