Emotional Health Programs

You’re not alone in facing the daily challenges of MS. The Western Pennsylvania Chapter offers several programs to keep you connected and emotionally healthy.

Self Help Groups - Groups led by trained peer leaders are held on an on-going basis throughout Western Pennsylvania. The groups meet primarily for educational and social purposes, allowing members to share feelings and find support with others in similar situations.

Peer Support -Trained persons with MS and concerned carepartners are available to talk with you or a family member in a supportive confidential relationship over the phone. A Peer Support Person might be just what you or a family member needs to help share your concerns about living with MS. For more information e-mail Colleen or call her at 1-800-344-4867.

Family Support - When a person is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, it can affect the entire family. The National MS Society strives to facilitate family communication. We provide social activities that focus on fun & understanding MS. In addition to our emotional support services, we offer programs for the entire family.
