The six-week Job Readiness Program, to help those who are currently seeking employment and those who have a job but could benefit from skills training.
All of the sessions of this program will take place on Tuesdays from September 4 through October 9. All sessions are teleconferences and/or webinars.
You may register for as few or as many sessions as you'd like, but registration is required for each individual session.
September 4: Maximize Your Potential: Know Your Skill Set
Join us on this teleconference to learn how to start identifying your skills. This should be the first step for anyone looking for a new job.
September 11: Resume Development
Join us on this teleconference to learn how to develop the best possible resume. Learn what makes a good resume and what you should avoid doing. This is a major step for anyone looking for a new job.
September 18: Networking: How to Build Connections
Join us on this teleconference to learn how to build relationships with your peers. Even though it seems unfair, sometimes your job search will come down to who you know rather than what you know. Networking (online and in person) should be a priority for all job seekers.
September 25: Interviewing Tips
Join us on this teleconference to learn valuable tips for interviewing. All job seekers will be required to participate in the interview process, and you'll want to stand out among the crowd when you're given the chance to interview. We'll teach you best practices to prepare you for a positive esperience and worst practices that you should avoid.
October 2: Symptom Management
Join us on this teleconference to practical ways to help manage symptoms such as fatigue and cognitive challenges at work.
October 9: Legal Rights
Join us on this teleconference to learn your rights and responsibilities as a person working with MS.
