The National Multiple Sclerosis Society Western Pennsylvania Chapter has agreements with the following locations for our members to attend their adaptive/arthritic swim programs. Participants are led by trained personnel through a series of specially designed exercises in cool water. Gentle movements can help relieve pain and stiffness. Open to adults with any type of arthritis or multiple sclerosis. It is not necessary to know how to swim. All facilities have been inspected for accessibility. Since this is a NMSS sponsored program a waiver and physician referral must be on file at the National MS Society before participating in any session.

The National MS Society pays the fee for persons with MS, but this is not a program designed solely for persons with MS, it is open to the public and persons of various physical abilities. Also, this class does not provide one-on-one training. If you need assistance in the pool, arrangements will need to be made prior to your participation.
