Vision for the future.
Commitment to a worthy cause.
Determination to persevere.
These are the marks of a great leader.
We see these qualities in the lives of community leaders.
To honor the efforts of community leaders, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is initiating the Legacy of Leadership campaign. Each year the Society will select a community leader (or leaders) who exemplify the qualities of vision, commitment and determination.
In appreciation for their efforts, the campaign will provide a work of art to beautify the community. Like these leaders who have helped to mold a community rich in history and culture, so will the artwork displayed in their honor change the community’s landscape in not one, but two important ways.
First, the Legacy of Leadership artwork commissioned or acquired from renowned artists honors our most esteemed community leaders while enhancing the community both aesthetically and artistically.
Second, and even more importantly, the funds raised by the Legacy of Leadership campaign support vital research for multiple sclerosis and programs for people in the community with MS and their families throughout Tennessee.
Multiple sclerosis is a disease that randomly attacks the nervous system, wearing away the control of the body and may result in numbness, paralysis and/or blindness. It is especially devastating because it is so unpredictable and often strikes in the prime of life, between the ages of 20 to 50. Through the Mid South Chapter, the NMSS is leading the fight against MS and offering hope to all who live with multiple sclerosis in our community. Join the movement.
