The dollars you raise us help move us closer to a cure.
Every step that you take and every dollar that you raise means increased awareness and more dollars for research, services and programs to help those facing the daily challenges of living with MS. The Society spends more money on MS research than any other voluntary health agency in the world, investing some $50 million annually on research programs. This includes more than 440 MS research investigations at the best medical centers, universities and other institutions throughout the United States and abroad. This investment is paying off in significant progress toward finding treatments and in better diagnosis, rehabilitation and symptomatic therapy for people with all forms of MS.
Research funded by the Society falls under several general categories including:
• Therapy of MS
• Care, Management, Rehabilitation, Psychosocial
• Immunology
• Nerve Tissue Repair and Myelin Biology
• Genetics
• Infectious Triggers
• Neuropathology/Neurophysiology
• Health Care Delivery & Policy
• Resource Banks
