Champions Against MS - Connecting for a Cure
Champions program is not available for all events. Please contact the Event Manager for each specific event to check availability.
The CHAMPS program is the link between Event participants and people living with MS. Participants receive collectible CHAMPS bandanas (or bibs) personalized by someone living with MS. These symbolize the CHAMPS connection, which fosters education, awareness and friendship. Participants are encouraged to contact their Champion (Person with MS) before, during, or even after the event. Many form friendships that continue well beyond the Finish Line. This is a FREE program for both event participants and people living with MS.
I am participating in an event. How do I join?
Join the Champions Against MS program (CHAMPS) by checking the CHAMPS box when you register. This allows us to determine how many CHAMPS partners we should expect. Once you complete this step, you can pick up your bandana (or bib) either at a Packet Pick-Up or at teh Bike MS Expo.
If you know someone with MS for whom you’d like to ride, pick up an unsigned bandana (or bib) and write their name on it. If you’d like to be paired with someone with MS, we'll provide you with a signed bandana (or bib) with your Champion's message..
I have multiple sclerosis. How do I participate?
Getting involved with CHAMPS is fun and easy. Join today by:
- Register Online Today!
- Visiting your local National MS Society office and signing your bandana(s) or having a volunteer sign for you in your absence.
- Signing a bandana at your local self help group meeting.
- Contact your local office at 1-800-344-4867 (press 2) for additional opportunities and information.
