This spotlight is shared by Stephanie Lopez, who has MS, and is cared for by her daughter Breana.
My caregiver is my 17 year old daughter. Two years ago our lives were turned upside down when I was diagnosed with MS. After a year of rehabilitation, my husband of 17 years decided he wanted a divorce. My daughter immediately stepped up to the plate and became my caregiver. She attends my doctor appointments with me, gives me my nightly injections, runs my errands and most importantly helps care for her two younger sisters. She does all of this while maintaining a 3.5 GPA, working 20 hours a week at a fast food restaurant, and playing varsity softball and basketball for her high school teams. She is not only my caregiver she is, and always will be, my HERO!!
