Emotional Health Programs

You’re not alone in facing the daily challenges of MS. The National MS Society, Lone Star offers several programs to keep you connected and emotionally healthy.

MSFriends
Offers a telephone peer support helpline, staffed with people who know first-hand what it is like to live with MS. The helpline is available from 8:00 am – 11:00 pm CT. Call 1-866-673-7436 or go online. All of your conversations are confidential to the peer relationship.

MS World
Offers chat, message boards, a resource center, an online magazine, and a community of people who share your daily challenges.

Help Finding a Therapist
Designed by a social worker, HelpPRO grew out of a strong conviction that people who are feeling anxious and vulnerable deserve a swift, responsive way to find the best mental health professional for their needs. Having to rely on advertisements, out-of-date telephone directories or insurance company referrals can only add to this anxiety.

Visit HelpPro.com to find a therapist who:

• Is located near you.
• Focuses on your age-group.
• Takes your insurance.
• Accepts Medicare and Medicaid.
• Understands your cultural background.
• Has evening office hours.
• Specializes in family therapy.
• Offers a sliding-scale fee.
