The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Financial Assistance Program is based on the principal that significant changes in life can occur because of MS. The goal of this program is to provide a timely customized response that makes a significant difference in maintaining personal health, safety and independence for people with multiple sclerosis during difficult circumstances. Learn more about how it works.
Who will be served?
People with a confirmed diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, registered with the National MS Society and residing in the South Central Region (AR, LA, NM, OK and TX) and who have a need that cannot be met through their own resources or other community resources will be served. While assistance is typically for the person with MS, some services and support are targeted towards family members or care partners (i.e. short-term respite care).
What assistance do we provide?
Each situation is different, and the best way to start is by contacting an MS Navigator (800-344-4867), option 1) to fill out an application. However, we may be able to help with the following:
- Respite services
- Durable medical equipment
- Accessibility modifications to homes or automobiles
- Critical short term needs, such as emergency help with utilities or rent.
- Health and wellness support
