“As a person living with MS, I have a great desire to remain as active as possible. That is why I have been involved with the assisted yoga class for several years. The stretching makes us more limber and helps with balance and reducing stress. And there is the camaraderie formed in the class. As one of us is faced with an exacerbation, we all face it. We have great fun and get a real workout in the process. It is the highpoint of the week.”

Wellness is a dynamic state of physical, emotional, spiritual and social well-being that can be achieved even in the presence of a chronic illness or disability. The benefits of healthy living, including exercise, are numerous – improving cardiac health, stamina, mood and symptom management. Connections made through wellness programs also help with peer support and reducing isolation.
