Thank you to all those who attended and supported
the 14th annual
Women on the Move Champagne Luncheon and Fashion Show
presented by the McCarthey Family
Saturday, February 23 at the Grand America Hotel
where we set a fundraising record of over $130,000
which will help us provide both local services
to people with MS as well as dollars for critical research!
Despite the winter storm, luncheon guests arrived early to enjoy something bubbly while browsing the MS Boutique, bidding on auction items and purchasing basket tickets for great packages for women!
Thank you to our MS Boutique vendors: Artwear, Green Leaf Gifts, Kate Holland Design, Limoni Jewelry, Mountain Bear Ink, Plunder Design, Steel Design, Sunshea Products, Usborne Books, and Watercolors by Marlene
Mary Nickles, KUTV 2 News Anchor, emceed the program while guests enjoyed a delicious Grand America lunch. After a brief update on MS research from Women on the Move Luncheon Chairman, Phil McCarthey, keynote speakers Ryan and Sonia Ren shared how MS has affected their lives. There was not a dry eye in the room when Ryan shared his last touching moments with his father before he passed away from complications of living with MS for over 25 years. Although Ryan has also now been diagnosed with MS, he and his wife, Sonia, are striving to live life to the fullest with their four active children.
Then the guests were treated to a fabulous fashion show from Paletti. The runway included beautiful community models and NMSS super volunteers SallyJones and Grace Drouin, who are both living with MS, in addition to some adorable little kids.
