In Your Community

Volunteers play a crucial role in every aspect of the National MS Society. As a community volunteer, you can work in the Salt Lake City office, Boise office, or out in the community. Check out ways you can get involved as a community volunteer:

  • MS Movement Ambassador – spread the word about MS in your community 

  • Support Group Leader- lead a group of people with MS in community activities

  • Administrative Volunteer - help every part of the chapter run smoothly with events, programs, or office work

  • Advocacy Volunteer - be a voice in the political arena

  • Champion - connect with event participants

  • Event Committee Volunteer  - join the planning committee for Walk MS by assisting with recruiting teams, volunteer engagement, and logistics

  • Community Resource Volunteer - research different resources within the community that may be beneficial for people with MS, or enter this information into our system

  • Health Fair Volunteer - research and attend health fairs in Utah and Southern Idaho

  • Wellness Committee Volunteer - promote "MS Smart Moves," Self Improvement Grants and seek out discounts at fitness facilities for people with MS

  • In-Service Volunteer - work with medical professionals to give presentations at home health care agencies about MS and resources for people with MS
