Valerie S. Kirkman is new to the Board of Trustees in 2010. She has used her nursing background to lecture on MS to nursing staff at long term care facilities in the Blue Ridge Chapter area. Her “Val’s Pals” MS Walk team participated in the Charlottesville Walk in March 2009. She has told of her experience as someone with MS when she has presented the Silver Hope Award at two Dinner of Champions events.
