The Blue Ridge Chapter offers a variety of educational programs throughout the year. These programs provide information for people with MS, families and friends, and the public. The topics of these programs range from "What is MS?" to research updates and symptom-specific information. Check our Chapter calendar to see what educational opportunities are coming up!
Our education programs take a variety of forms and include the following:
Teleconferences
Teleconferences are an easy and accessible way to learn more about MS from the comfort of your own home. Dial-in and join a community of people learning more about MS by listening and asking questions of our expert presenters. All of our teleconferences are accessed through a toll-free number.
*Missed a teleconference? Listen to our recorded calls now!*
Workshops/Seminars
We also offer education programs through in-person workshops and seminars. The workshops/seminars may have professional speakers, DVD presentations, or other forms of instruction and take place at locations throughout the Chapter.
Full Day Education Programs
These full day education programs are a great way to learn more about MS, meet people from your community, and be introduced to professionals in the field. There are a number of sessions offered throughout the day which cover a range of topics. The specific topics offered at each education day vary between locations.
Couples Programs
We offer a multi-day overnight retreat whose purpose is to help couples learn more about the challenges that MS may present and how to manage these challenges successfully. We also have an ongoing program called "Relationship Matters" which is available in a variety of formats and is tailored specifically to your relationship needs.
