Friendly Visitor Program

The goal of the Blue Ridge Chapter Friendly Visitor Program is to provide companionship and emotional support to people with MS who are living in assisted living facilities or nursing homes. Participants are encouraged to take part in mutually enjoyable activities such as reading, arts and crafts, games, or simply having great conversation. Friendly Visitors do not provide health care or transportation services.

Want to request a Friendly Visitor?
Contact the Blue Ridge Chapter at 1-800-344-4867 or email vab@nmss.org to request a friendly visitor today!  This service is free and will be worked around your schedule.

Want to become a Friendly Visitor?
All Visitors will receive comprehensive training before making visits and will have the continued support of the Chapter throughout their participation in the program. Contact the Chapter for more information on how to get started.
