Do you ever wish you could talk with others who understand what it's like to live
with MS and the challenges the disease brings?

Peer Support Program
What is it? The Blue Ridge Chapter Peer Support program offers you the opportunity to talk one-on-one with someone else who has MS. Our Peer Support program matches you with a trained volunteer who has MS and is dedicated to helping you navigate the challenges of the disease.

How does work? Peer Support takes place via the telephone, so there is no need to travel to get the support that you need and deserve. This program is also available to care partners of people with MS.

How do you request a Peer Supporter? Simply call the Chapter office or email vab@nmss.org to request a Peer Supporter today!  This service and free and confidential.

Newly Diagnosed Mentor Program
If you have been recently diagnosed with MS, you probably have many questions and concerns. The newly diagnosed mentor program matches people who are newly diagnosed with a peer via one-on-one phone or email correspondence. Take the opportunity to ask questions of a person who personally understands life with MS.

Please call 1-800-344-4867 for more information or to request a Peer Supporter or Mentor. All inquiries into the Peer Support program are confidential.

This program is not intended to replace professional mental health services or counseling; the Blue Ridge Chapter can provide mental health referrals upon request.
