Public Education

One of the Blue Ridge Chapter’s major priorities is educating the community about multiple sclerosis through special events and activities. General educational opportunities in which we participate include:

MS Ambassadors
Volunteers and chapter staff are available to speak to service organizations, clubs, social, and civic groups.

Health Fairs
Information about MS is presented to the general public through the chapter’s participation in these events.

Public Relations
Print and broadcast media create awareness of MS, publicize special fund-raising events, and generate news stories on research, local programs, and people with MS and their families.

For more information about these and other opportunities to educate the public about MS, contact Carrie Dahlquist at 1-800-344-4867 or carrie.dahlquist@nmss.org.
