The Bike MS: Valero 2011 Alamo Ride to the River, presented by H-E-B will kick-off with an Expo on Friday, October 14 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The Expo will feature health and wellness vendors, event sponsor, the 2nd Annual Best Team Jersey Contest, the latest cycling products sold by bike shops, and your last chance to pick up your rider packet!
On Saturday, October 15 cyclists will ride along country roads from San Antonio to New Braunfels. Whether you choose the 75-mile route or the 100-mile route on day one, you will enjoy the small town charm of La Vernia, Seguin and Gruene along the route on both days. Participants will enjoy lunch at Texas Lutheran University, sponsored by Arby’s.
Attention Century Riders: In keeping with Bike MS tradition, we have added a century loop just for you. The century ride will include a 25-mile loop along River Road from Gruene to Sattler and back.
New Overnight site Comal County Fair Grounds! Celebrate Saturday's ride accomplishment with hot food, cool drinks and live music. If you are part of a team, check with your team captain to see if your team is part of the San Antonio Express-News Team Village.
On Sunday, October 16 enjoy a hot breakfast to get you in gear for the 60-mile ride back to San Antonio and finish inside the air conditioned Alamodome.
