User Options:

Our Medical Support is a group of EMTs, paramedics, nurses and personnel trained in CPR. This group provides basic First Aid on the route, at breakpoints and in First Aid stations.

Duties include moving between breakpoints to monitor riders who may need medical care. These rovers are equipped with a minimum of two medical personnel and medical supplies to handle emergencies. They also have HAM radios operators assigned to them.

Breakpoints have a minimum of four medical personnel to hand out basic medical supplies to riders and log any medical assistance given. These personnel move along the route when their assigned breakpoints close. Larger breakpoints are manned with six to seven personnel.

The First Aid Station at Comal County Fair Grounds handles emergencies that happen at the Overnight, along with any emergencies sent in from the route. It is manned by a minimum of three medical personnel and a doctor who handles the group’s protocols. This position is crucial for riders who require further evaluation or transport to a medical center.
