Chancellor High School 

Laurie is beginning her tenth year as a high school English teacher at Chancellor High School in Spotsylvania County. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and College Student Personnel. She has been chosen as the High School Mentor of the Year, Chancellor High School Teacher of the Year and Spotsylvania County Division Teacher of the Year. In addition to her commitment to students and teaching, Laurie is also a high school volleyball referee and serves on the governing board of Fredericksburg Volleyball Officials Association. Laurie also supports Bethany Ministries, the Fredericksburg Food Pantry and Habitat for Humanity. Since her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2009, her husband and two daughters have raised money and awareness of MS throughout the community through Walk MS: Fredericksburg and Bike MS: Ride Virginia. Combined, she has collectively raised over $10,000 to support MS research and local programs and services.
